7.Madhyamaheshwar Temple

Madhyamaheshwar Temple

It was an extremely spiritual and uplifting experience to visit this temple in Utharkand. Its is close to the Ransi / Ukhimath . About 20 kms from Ransi. Trek starts from Ransi . On the way , one can stop at a few villages on the way - accomodation is available ( Gaundhar, Bantoli have more options ) . Better to split the trek into 10 kms per day and do it in two days ( one way ). There are rooms in the temple site provided by the Mandir Samiti. There are other small private accomodations as well. It is very rustic facilities though. It is quite cold, so bring enough warm apparel. Arthi is at 7 pm and must surely not be missed. There is a pooja in the morning as well. Trek upto Budha maheshwar on top of the ridge is worth the effort . Be sure to be there before sunrise to get glorious views of Chaukambha and the Kedarnath mountains.Coming back is easier, so you could possibly reach Ransi by evening if you leave morning. Stay at Ramesh Panwar's place in Gaundhar was simple and nice. Porters are available as well.
